How does piezosurgery differ from a conventional bone bur?

Piezosurgery cuts bone with ultrasonic micro-vibrations, cutting hard tissue selectively and reducing damage to soft tissue. It is used for osteotomy, sinus lift, extraction and implant site preparation.

Can I buy the surgical instruments used by AMS speakers?

Yes. The Steigmann Kit, Dr. Urban General Surgery Kit and Dr. Allen Oral Plastic Surgery Kit are all supplied by Yong Chieh, as full or Mini kits, and instruments can also be ordered individually.

How should instruments be maintained?

Curettes need regular sharpening; Yong Chieh supplies Hu-Friedy sharpening stones and the SideKick sharpener. For piezosurgery units, contact Yong Chieh to arrange inspection and factory repair.
