FAQFrequently asked questions
Who distributes Spark Clear Aligners in Taiwan?

Yong Chieh is the exclusive Taiwan distributor for Ormco and Spark, headquartered in Taipei with offices in Taichung and Kaohsiung.

How are Spark and Ormco related?

Ormco is a global orthodontic brand. Spark Clear Aligners and the Damon self-ligating system are both Ormco products.

How can a dentist in Taiwan open a Spark account?

Complete the Spark new account application on the Yong Chieh website. A Yong Chieh representative will contact you, and your account is activated once your details are confirmed.

Which Spark treatment plans are available?

Spark Advanced, Spark 35, Spark 20 and Spark 10, chosen by case complexity. Contact Yong Chieh for details.

What is TruGEN™?

Spark™ aligners come in two TruGEN materials. TruGEN™ is more flexible and focuses on sustained force, fit, clarity and stain resistance. TruGEN XR™ is more rigid with higher initial force, suited to movements that need more control such as expansion, space closure and finishing, at the same thickness as TruGEN™. Both materials can be used in primary and refinement stages; the clinician chooses based on the tooth movement needed at each stage.

What software is used for Spark treatment planning?

Spark uses the cloud-based Approver software. Clinicians review, modify and approve setups online, with nothing to install.

Can I order aligner seaters separately?

Yes. Yong Chieh supplies the Clenchy aligner seater, which clinics can order on its own.

What Spark courses are available?

Yong Chieh runs Spark Webinars and orthodontic courses through AMS (Arcline the Master Series). See the AMS website for upcoming sessions.

Can patients buy Spark directly from Yong Chieh?

No. Spark is an orthodontic treatment planned and delivered by a dentist, and Yong Chieh serves dentists and dental practices only. Patients should ask their dentist.
